Modular Plastic CNC
The sleds
The slide provides the movement on the individual axes. I would like to show how one of the sleds is built using the example of the small slide with a copper nut.
For the little sled with spindle nut mount you will need the following parts, nuts and screws:
| |
The middle part of the sled with copper nut mount should be assembled as shown. If you plan to expand your CNC machine, you can also fill all the nut traps. | |
Next you will need the following components:
| |
Now the two SledBearingMount parts are screwed to the middle part. Only then the ball bearings can be placed and fastened. The ball bearings should not yet screwed on completely, as the running ability of the slide still has to be tested and adjusted. |
